Nacida en San Juan, Puerto Rico, Linda María Rodríguez Guglielmoni ha vivido en Inglaterra, Washington, D.C., Michigan y California. Estudió en las universidades de Georgetown, Dijon, Oxford y Ann Arbor-Michigan donde obtuvo su doctorado. Su tesis,Historical Narratives in the Caribbean: Women Giving Voice to History, incluye capítulos sobre Rosario Ferré, Aída Cartagena Portalatín y Cuba’s Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda. Es editora del libro, Enlaces: Transnacionalidad–El Caribe y su Diáspora–Lengua, Literatura y Cultura en los Albores del Siglo XXI (2000), anales de la Séptima Conferencia Internacional de Escritoras y Críticos Literarios del Caribe, proyecto becado por laNEH/Fundación Puertorriqueña de las Humanidades. Su primera colección de poesía, Metropolitan Fantasies –textos errantes–, se publicó en el 2001. Es ganadora de un Raymond Carver Best Story Award y su prosa creativa y poesía, ensayos críticos y traducciones han aparecido en las antologías: Praises and Offenses: Three Dominican Woman Poets, The Caribbean Woman Writer as Scholar, From Totems to Hip-Hop, When Divas Howl at the Moon, Noches de Cornelia: Poesía Contemporánea y The Histories, Languages, and Cultures of West Africa: Interdisciplinary Essays. Y en las revistas: The Caribbean Writer, Journal of Caribbean Literatures, Sargasso, Mango Season, Revista Texturas: Dimensiones del Texto y de la Imagen,MaComère, Baquiana, Caribbean Studies, Thamyris. Además en Encyclopedia of Latin American Literature y Encyclopedia of World Literature in the 20^thCentury. Además recientemente su obra creativa fue publicada en Inglaterra por Peepal Tree Press en la antología Caribbean Erotic. Ha sido artista invitada a las residencias Atlantic Center for the Arts en New Smyrna, Florida, VONA en San Francisco, California y Norton Island en Maine y a las universidades Fashion Institute en NY y Maryland Institute College of Arts en Baltimore. En la actualidad es Catedrática de Literatura Caribeña, Cine y Creación Literaria en la Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Mayagüez.
